Built in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. S58B30 3.0L twin-turbo — 453 hp at launch, bumped to 473 hp with a software update for 2025. 6-speed manual or 8-speed auto. RWD only (xDrive variant reportedly arriving for 2027). Stocky, square styling — polarizing on launch, growing on owners. Often called the spiritual successor to the E46 M3.

Watch out: Too new for a definitive watchout. S58 is reliable. Early-car software calibration around the throttle and shift logic was tweaked via dealer updates; check that any used G87 has had recent service-bulletin updates applied.
