Carbon Core architecture cut weight versus the F01. B58 turbo-6 in the 740i, N63TU3 V8 in the 750i, and the N74 V12 in the 760i — the last V12 BMW will sell. 2020 LCI brought the controversial enlarged kidney grille. G12 is the long-wheelbase variant.

Watch out: N63 V8 reliability improved across generations but the platform still demands attention to oil consumption and cooling. Air suspension and 8HP transmission service intervals (despite BMW's 'lifetime fluid' claim) matter on a heavy luxury sedan.
