BMW 6 Series F12/F13/F06 (3rd Generation)

The F12/F13/F06 is the third-generation 6 Series, sold from 2011 through 2018. The body styles are F12 convertible, F13 coupe and F06 four-door Gran Coupe. Powertrains include the N55 turbocharged inline-six (640i), N63 twin-turbo V8 (650i) and the S63 twin-turbo V8 in the M6 (F12M/F13M/F06M).

Watch out: N63 V8 valve stem seals, timing chain guides and turbocharger life are widely documented; BMW issued a 'Customer Care Package' covering several N63 items on affected cars. Owner reports of HUD failures and 8HP transmission mechatronic-sleeve leaks are routine across the F-chassis era.
