BMW 4 Series G22 (2nd Generation)

The G22 4 Series launched for the 2021 model year, sharing its platform with the G20 3 Series. Body styles include the G22 coupe, G23 convertible and G26 Gran Coupe. Powertrains use the B48 turbocharged inline-four and the B58 turbocharged inline-six, with 48V mild-hybrid assistance on later trims.

Watch out: Too new for a settled long-term failure picture. Owner reports across the wider B58/B48 family include oil filter housing gasket weeps and electric water pump life; these are routine in the BMW community rather than G22-specific. The large vertical grille is a styling choice that draws polarized owner feedback.
