Bentley Continental GT 3rd Generation
2018–2024 · coupe
Third-generation Continental GT moved to the Volkswagen Group MSB platform (shared with Porsche Panamera and Audi A8). 6.0L W12 twin-turbo at launch (626 hp); 4.0L V8 (542 hp) added later — both AMG-style hot-V layouts. 8-speed dual-clutch DCT. Coupe (GT) and convertible (GTC). W12 production ended in 2024 — last W12-powered Bentley road car. Replaced by the 4th-gen Continental GT (V8 PHEV) in 2024.
Watch out: Dual-clutch DCT replaces the older torque converter — different service profile, more sensitive to launch-mode abuse. Air suspension reliability is improved over earlier Continentals but bag/compressor failures still occur. W12 is now end-of-life — long-term parts availability will become a consideration as the platform ages.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
