Audi allroad C5 (1st Generation US Allroad)
2001–2005 · C5 · wagon
The C5 allroad (badged 'allroad quattro' in lowercase) is the first allroad sold in the US, on sale from 2001 through 2005. It is a raised, plastic-clad C5 A6 Avant with four-corner adjustable air suspension. The US engine is the APB / BES 2.7T twin-turbocharged V6, paired with a 5-speed tiptronic automatic or, in limited numbers, a 6-speed manual.
Watch out: Air suspension compressor and bag failures are the headline C5 allroad issue and are the dominant reason owners convert to coil-over kits. 2.7T turbocharger and timing belt service costs are routine concerns, and Pentosin hydraulic system leaks (steering, suspension, brakes) appear with age.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
