The B9 A5 is the second-generation Audi A5, launched for the 2017 model year on the MLB Evo platform shared with the B9 A4. US bodies include coupe, cabriolet and Sportback (five-door hatch), with the EA888 Gen 3 2.0 TFSI inline-four standard.

Watch out: EA888 Gen 3 is widely considered a major improvement over earlier 2.0 TFSI generations on oil consumption, but owner reports of water pump life, PCV diaphragm and intake-system carbon buildup continue. The B9-era MMI / Virtual Cockpit electronics draw mixed owner feedback in the used market.
