Audi 100 C4 (Last Audi 100)

1991–1994 · C4 · sedan

The C4 Audi 100 was sold in the US from 1992 through 1994 and was renamed A6 for the 1995 model year (the C4 platform continued under the A6 name). The US engine was the AAH 2.8 V6 (and AAN/ABY 2.2 turbo five-cylinder on the related S4 / S6 performance variants). Body styles included sedan and Avant wagon.

Watch out: Owner reports of timing belt service criticality (interference engine on the 2.8 V6), Pentosin hydraulic system leaks (steering, brake servo), aging cooling-system components and rust on jacking points and rear wheel arches are routine given the platform's age. Five-cylinder turbo S4 / S6 cars have their own parts-availability considerations.
