Acura ZDX 2nd Generation (EV)
2024–2025 · ZDX EV · suv
Acura revived the ZDX nameplate as a battery-electric SUV co-developed with General Motors on the Ultium platform (the same architecture as the Chevrolet Blazer EV and Cadillac Lyriq). Three powertrains were offered: a single-motor rear-drive A-Spec at 358 hp, a dual-motor AWD A-Spec, and a dual-motor Type S making up to 500 hp. EPA range up to 313 miles from the 102 kWh battery. Production ended September 2025 due to low sales; Acura's next EV is the upcoming RSX.
Watch out: Owner reports center on Ultium platform software issues shared with the GM cousins (charging quirks, infotainment glitches, OTA update friction). Service is handled through Acura dealers but high-voltage parts and diagnostic procedures depend on GM's supply chain. With production ended in 2025, long-term parts and software support is the open question.
Full clubhouse — owner Garage Lineage, common problems, year-by-year notes, and product picks — is on the build list.
