California Car Duster

The Original California Car Duster Company, Inc. was founded in 1989 by Jim and Loraine DeFrank in Simi Valley, California. The brand built its reputation on a distinctive cotton-and-wax car duster designed to remove light dust without water, and later expanded into silicone water blades — a category the company helped pioneer in the 1990s. The Water Blade, Jelly Blade, and Dry Blade product lines share a medical-grade silicone construction and T-bar or V-blade form factors designed for water removal from painted surfaces after a car wash. Products are sold through specialty automotive retailers, auto parts stores, and online.
